We thought of this some days ago, while watching the people in the tea house. You all come from very diferent places, are we wrong? I can only imagine how many wonderful stories you all have!

In that case, it would be a shame not to share it. I was not much older than you seem to be at the time, and for months everyone in Baron had only been talking of the new prototype airship Cid was building. They said that it would go higher and faster than anything else humans could create.

An airship.. So it's a little like a plane, right? Maria's been on one of those before, they're fun, uu-!

How high could it go..?

So I was told, though I've never seen one in person. Being in the sky is always pleasant is it not? I have to admit that I do not remember the exact specs of the ship, but our engineers used to boast that it would fly as high as five times Baron Castle's highest tower.

Towers are usually very high, so it must have gone re-ally high..! Uu-, Maria would've liked to be on it too, it sounds like a lot of fun!

It was. Cid came to wake me up an hour before dawn, so we watched the sun rise from the sky. At that time, we could almost see Mysidia beyond the ocean.

Mysidia..? Uu-, that's probably a country, isn't it?

That's right. The mages' country of Mysidia. Reaching it by ship takes weeks, but on that day I felt as though I could reach it in mere hours.

Mages..? So people use magic in that country, all the people..? Maria thinks that sounds like a very, very nice country, uu-! Everything is more happy with magic!

Most of them, at least. It's a magocracy, and they know much about the world's history and legends.
