[ Good morning, Johto! While most of you might have been busy with intense stuff like digging and legendaries, one little girl is just sitting in the lobby of the Pokémon Center as if nothing special happened. The table in front of her is filled with paper in all sorts of colors and she's just cutting away at it and folding it to make all sorts of silly party decorations like paper strings. She's not particularly good at it, but at least it seems she's working hard.

She's humming along to the music, by the way. With her typical 'uu's. ]

Uu-uu-uu... Uu-uu-uu-uu..

[ She starts to making something remotely pumpkin-shaped as a paper string decoration. ]

Uu-, have to work hard for Maria and Lion's ice cream party.. Have to make really pretty decorations so it will be the best party! And then lots of people will come and have fun together, it will be really fun and.. lively..

[ At that last word she drops the paper back on the table, her facial expression dropping. ]

Why.. Uu-.. Why did Battler and Ange go home, why didn't they stay for Maria's party.. uu-..

Beato too.. Beato promised to come! Beato would come visit Maria and then come to the tea party too, uu-uu-! Why? It's not fair, not fai-r! Everyone's leaving without Maria.. uu-uu-!!

[ There's another sniffle and congratulations, Johto, you have earned yourself one kid in the middle of a temper tantrum. She starts crying, the 'uu's still mixed in all over the place, as she picks up one of the paper decorations she made and crumbles it up before throwing it away. ]

[ She glances up from some crumbled up papers on the table when Lion comes in, still sniffling a bit. It had been a bit more quiet with most people in Olivine, but even with some people coming back here now.. ]

Lion.. ... Uu-.. That Beato promised Maria that she'd finally come and see Maria.. and come to our party, u-uu.. And now she won't come anymore for sure.

I know you are sad... I also wish she had stayed, and that we could have the party with everyone.

Beatrice had important things to do back at home. I'm sure that she will come back once she's done, after all she promised she would see you and she wouldn't want to break a promise made to an important friend.

Does Lion really think Beato will come back to see Maria like she promised? And then we could have a real witches' tea party?

I can't tell you when, I'm sure she will. And I'm sure we will see everyone else again too. Johto can be a little mean, taking the people we love away, but it also can be really kind and bring them back, right?

I'm sure they wouldn't want you to be sad while you wait for them. We have to keep a big smile and hope to see them again soon.

Does Johto really bring in the same people twice, uu-? Never heard about that from anyone before.. George onii-chan and Shannon left a while ago too, but they haven't come back yet.

Maybe if Maria will smile enough the magic of smiles will bring them back..

Yes. I've seen many people who came back after leaving for a while, and even spoke to some.

Well, Johto never made everyone leave. Most of the people stay here for a long time, did you know that some people have been here for almost a year?

Yes, that's a long time... But they have seen many people come and go, an even people who returned after a while. They also made lots of friends here, like you.

I don't know for how long we are going to stay here... That's something Johto decides and not us, but if I have a choice, I want to stay here.

Uu-.. Maria doesn't know.. Being home with Beato in the Golden Land would be fun, but Maria wouldn't want to miss all the friends she made here.. That would be sad. Don't want to miss Lion either.

You have time... The people who went back to their worlds and then came back say that when they returned to their worlds, time hadn't passed.

That means you can stay and have fun here... And someday you can go back home. [Have a headpat.] That way you can have fun with everyone both here and at home.

You can have friends and fun everywhere, knowing that someone you care about is happy is always a wonderful feeling. I'm sure everyone will be glad to hear you are having a good time.

[ She's quiet for a moment, almost as if she's thinking it over. Then she gives a nod. ]

Maria thinks Lion is right.. Lion always knows a lot, so Lion just has to be right. In that case, Maria will try her best to have fun so she can see everyone again soon, uu-!

I'll do my best to help you with that goal. That way when any of your friends from your world arrives, you'll have lots of fun stories to tell them.
